Week 7

Hiya,

There are lots of exciting things that I have been instructed to tell you about this week:

CONCERTS: There are going to be two concerts this term.

The first will be at St Oswalds, Fulford, on Friday of Week 9. We will probably rehearse from about 5 onwards(I'll confirm times nearer the concert), have tea (don't forget some sarnies) and then do the concert This is a public concert so please invite your friends and housemates to come watch. Afterwards will be our customary after-show party for the choir at my house (woop!).

The second concert will be during the afternoon on Wednesday of Week 10. It's going to be a private concert held in a care home to the north of the city. We'll probably be taking a minibus of some sort to get there (more details nearer the time). Afterwards we shall be having our AGM (location tbc), when we shall vote in the committee for 2008.

LASER QUEST: This is probably the most exciting social that we've had since I've been a member of Glee and I hope that lots of you will be able to come. Some choice words from our superb Social Secretary and Assistant MD, Mr J Mark Pim:

I have just booked us in for some Quasar action after the rehearsal tomorrow. For those that have never played it, Quasar is like indoor paintball with laser guns. It's great fun and should be a great night out. It costs £5 for students and £9 for non-students for two games so make sure you bring your ID for that saving. I've had to pay for the games in advance so if you did say last week you were going to go (I counted 10) please do actually come or I might be out of pocket. I'll ask for exact numbers tomorrow and book some taxis to get us there and back, cost for a taxi should be no more than a couple of quid per person each way.

MONEY: If you haven't paid your membership fee yet, please do. It's £4 to join, so bring some cash with you on Wednesday.

ATTENDANCE: As the concert(s) draw ever nearer, it is important that you attend as many Glee rehearsals as you can. If you can't, please e-mail and let us know why. Notes from your mum or your physician are not required.
